Welcome to the website of Miss Atom-2010. The International Internet Beauty Contest Miss Atom is an unparalleled social project being undertaken by Nuclear.Ru.
The first Miss Atom contest was held in 2004 to win broad popularity in the Russian and post-soviet nuclear community. The nuclear industry showed unprecedented interest in the brand-new, off-standard idea. Now, nuclear companies, “closed” nuclear cities, nuclear power plants hold beauty contests of their own, but Miss Atom is the one and only industry-wide web-based project for “nuclear” belles, and we are deservedly proud of this.
Miss Atom’s pageants can be not only girls from Russia but also from all countries of the former USSR. Since the very start, the contest has been designed as a cohesive, integrating project. We invite girls who work at nuclear power plants, nuclear industry facilities, research institutes, scientific centers; employees of companies who partner nuclear industry; students and graduates and post-graduates of nuclear-related high education establishments, to participate in the contest.
The contest has been sustainably supported by nuclear enterprises and organizations within the SC Rosatom’s system, Russian and foreign companies. We greatly appreciate assistance of those who help us to make the Miss Atom project a striking and memorable festival for its participants. We hope that this year the contest will override previous participation and visiting records again, and that its geography and representation will expand. And the key thing, that it will impart good vibes to its pageants.
No one would doubt great traditions, strategic importance and innovative potential of nuclear. Our wish is that through the Miss Atom contest people became aware that atom has one more meaning that is of “beauty”!
